Brand technology
Brand technology, design-first
Tyler Berry is a Creative Director who uses creative technology, brand technology and AI to extend brands into digital. The brand always comes first. Technology is how a strong brand system scales across teams, tools and channels without losing its character.
How Tyler uses technology
- Brand generatorsBrowser-based tools that let marketing teams create on-brand assets within the rules of the system.YeahNice
- Digital design systemsTokenised, developer-ready systems that carry a brand identity into product and web.YeahNice
- Campaign toolsCustom tools that let client teams produce campaign assets themselves.YeahNice
- Interactive brand experiencesPrototypes and web experiences that turn a campaign idea into something people can use.YeahNice
- AI in creative productionMixing AI generation with layered composition and 3D, under strict art direction, so the output never looks generic.YeahNice
- Brand systems for AI toolsSetting up a brand's creative system inside AI design tools so in-house teams produce work that is actually on-brand.YeahNice
Point of view
“AI belongs upstream, in exploration. Never downstream, in the final artefact.”
AI has given the industry a recognisable house style, and that is a risk to brand distinctiveness. Tyler's view is that brands need stronger systems, not more generated content. Technology should make a good brand go further, not stand in for one.
